Lacye Sparkle, known to most as Sparkle, is a Licensed Hoopgirl Instructor, and has been teaching since 2007. She is known for being enthusiastic, joyful and absolutely eager to spread the joy of hoopdance! She feels passionate about sharing with people how it has changed her life. She also feels certain anyone craving a deeper connection with their body and mind will find it in the hoop. Movement came to Lacye Sparkle Lee through a series of orchestrated events, put into motion by fate. Before hooping, Lacye Sparkle Lee was known as "Just Lacye". "Just Lacye" told herself she was not a dancer, not a teacher, and was "Just Lacye".
"Just Lacye" loved the way dance looked and loved the way it made her feel, but told herself she just could not do that. She was told as a child she was graceful, but never made the dance team in Junior High.
It was at this time she made the agreement with herself that she was definitely NOT a dancer, or graceful. This agreement was carried for many years, and then, at just the right time, a hoop made it's way into Just Lacye's hands...
It was given to "Just Lacye" by her close friend and mentor Cara, who encouraged her to take a hoop class. Once Lacye entered the hoop, she knew it was right. She went forward and expressed this enthusiasm, her desire to be a teacher. She was lovingly guided by another powerful mentor, Candice of HoopSHiNE. Candice recognized the light in Lacye, and took her under her wing. Soon, a hoop star was born....
